Alaskanmalamute: Breed specifications

Country of Origin:: North America (Alaska)
Size:: About 64 cm (25.25 inches).
Coat:: The outercoat is think and coarse and under-coat is greasy and wooly
Character:: This dog is friendly, affectionate, and loyal, but can have a mind of its own.
Temperament:: Alaskanmalamutes generally get along well with children. Their friendliness makes them somewhat unsuitable for watchdogs.
Care:: Not much grooming is required, however a good combing with a coarse comb is required when shedding.
Training:: Although they are friendly, Malamutes need a firm approach in their training.
Activity:: The Alaskanmalamute needs a lot of exercise. At least one hour a day of hard exercise is required.
