Jackrussel: Breed specifications

Country of Origin:: England
Size:: 10-12 inches high
Coat:: The coat comes in 3 varieties: Smooth, broken, wire-haired
Character:: This breed is perky, loving, energetic, fearless. Enjoys playing with toys. Intelligent. Can be willful.
Temperament:: This breed can be aggressive toward other dogs. Need to be socialized at an early age. Generally kind to children. Children need to be taught not to tease or strike the dog.
Care:: Easy to groom regardless of coat type. Regular brushing with firm bristle brush. Bathe only when necessary.
Training:: Can be somewhat difficult to train. Best if trained by firm, experienced trainer.
Activity:: High energy. Will be okay excercising itself in small yard, perfers larger size yard. Will be active indoors if not sufficiently excercised.
